As a student project during Georgian College’s Museum and Gallery Studies Program, exhibited at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Center

Developing this exhibition, we started by recognizing that each
person who enters a hospital does so carrying their own worries
and experiences. this is the place aims to provide viewers with a
place to find a grounding peace, releasing tensions, and taking a
moment to build their strength again.
This exhibition began by selecting three works by established
Canadian artists Christina Luck, Paul Duval, and Fredrick J.
Tymoshenko from the Georgian College collection.
After the initial selection of these three works, students and
alumni from Georgian College’s Design and Visual Arts programs,
were invited to respond to the selected work, taking inspiration
from Luck’s linear rhythm, Duval’s overlapping textures, and
Tymoshenko’s serene simplicity.
Together, the artwork reminds us that the natural world, though
changing, still offers opportunities for one to find solitude in
times of stress and uncertainty. this is the place hopes to foster a
space for calm and quiet reflection, where the viewer can take a
moment, however brief, to pause and connect with the artwork.
